5 of my favourite RuPaul’s Drag Race Lipsync’s

Lipsync’s play a vital role on RuPaul’s Drag Race, they can save or eliminated. They can be ‘meh’ or they can legendary, so I want to focus on the latter and talk about 5 of my favourite Lipsync’s of all time on RPDR.

Here’s the rundown of my top 5 Lipsync’s on RuPaul’s Drag Race:

5. Mayhem Miller vs Yuhua Hamasaki, “Celebrity Skin” – Season 10, Episode 3

This was the moment I really fell in love with Mayhem. In this lipsync, she really goes in for the slaughter. The passion and the determination she shows in this lipsync really changed the game for her in this season. Yuhua…um… let’s not talk about it…

4. Chi Chi DeVayne vs. Thorgy Thor, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” — Season 8, Episode 7

Every time I watch this lipsync I get a little bit teary-eyed, the way Chi Chi performs feels so honest. Thorgy put in a good effort but Chi Chi was so heartfelt, it was a clear win. The moment those pearls drop to the floor you can see everyone in that studio was LIVING!

3. Sasha Velour vs. Shea Couleé, “So Emotional” — Season 9, Finale

These two are legendary, they are both so artistic, funny and smart, so like everyone else, I was very excited to see them go head to head in a lipsync for the crown. Both of these queens proved their performance skills in this lip sync, Shea is an amazing dancer, she tore up the stage and drove the crowd mad. Sasha really utilised her creativity and artistic eye to give us some beautiful rose petal reveals. This lipsync really made up for all the lipsync fails season 9 gave us.

2. Yvie Oddly Vs Brooklyn Heights, “Sorry, Not Sorry” – Season 11, Finale

WOW. That’s all I can say, over and over again, when I watch this lipsync. These two really brought it to season 11 and I am so grateful for it. These to have so much talent when it comes to dancing, when before I watched this episode part of me was worried that Yvie wouldn’t be able to keep up with Brooklyn’s dance training, as a ballerina I thought Brooklyn might leave Yvie in the dust. BUT, Yvie really brought it, she pushed herself to do bends and flips and all sorts, AND I LOVED IT. definitely worth the double shantay!

1. Alyssa Edwards vs. Tatianna, “Shut Up and Drive” — All Stars Season 2, Episode 5

I know this is on every lipsync ranking, but can you blame me?! This lipsync was legendary, I have watched it over and over again and I can never get enough! Both of these queens give it all they’ve got, so much attitude, so much Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent, so GOOD! I can’t explain why this is so good, I can’t put it into words, so just watch the absolute fabulousness for yourself.
