I was scrolling through my Instagram feed recently and started to notice a trend: Lingerie. I’m seeing more and more queens doing sexy Lingerie looks, utilising iconic symbols of feminity to heighten their drag.

This trend reminded me of the Naughty Nighties challenge on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 Episode 4. This runway gave us a plethora of lingerie inspo, so I thought I’d take a look back to this runway and pick out some saucy lingerie so you can try this look out for yourself!

Corsets

A corset is a great place to stay in terms of lingerie, is slimming, flattering, and a lot of us queens are already wearing them, so why not utilise that and make it sexy! You can get plain corsets, leather-esque corsets, lacey corset, whatever you want, I’m sure its there. Also, all colours, shapes and sizes are available! Corsets make a great centrepiece to a look, so why not give it a try?

Bras

One of the key elements to lingerie is a brassiere of course. An iconic symbol of feminine undergarments. A bra is revealing enough to be sensual but keeps you covered. you can get bras in all shapes, sizes and colours so there’s plenty of choice for any look!

Suspenders & Stockings

Suspenders and stocking make me think of classic lingerie, they add an element of class and sophistication, giving you a sensual edge to your look.

Pasties

Modesty? Don’t know her! Wanna push your lingerie look to the edge why not add a pair of pasties under your for an extra layer to play with and wow your audience, whether that’s a crowd watching your perform or just your friends on the dancefloor.

Night Dresses

If you’re looking for a more flirty, reserved look, then a coy nightdress may be the choice for you. It’s a little more innocent and reserved, they remind me of old movies, technicolour stars pushing the limits of restrictions.

Night Gowns

Why not top off your lingerie ensemble with a sexy night gown? you can use it as an extra layer to play with, or just to keep warm out on the town.
